Ed Reiff, the owner of GenReady will review your specific wants and needs during an in-home consultation. He will determine the right size generator for your home as well as its placement in accordance with the town code.
CONTRACT SIGNATURE & DEPOSIT
Once you’ve decided you’re ready to move forward, a signature will be required and a $1,000 deposit is taken. Once the deposit is received, you enter our installation queue and we begin the paperwork for your permits.
SURVEY
Depending on Township, a survey of your home may be required.
GAS ADEQUACY
If your home has natural gas, National Grid will confirm that your existing gas line can handle the generator’s load and determine whether or not you need a meter upgrade. For liquid propane, we will coordinate the drop off of the tank and the piping with the installation of the generator.
PERMIT PROCESS
We apply for a permit from the town which is necessary to move forward with the project.

Our crew installs your generator and we coordinate for our licensed plumbers to come the same day or the day after to complete the plumbing part of the installation.
WI-FI COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
We will call you to set up your account for your WiFi email communication system. You will be alerted when the generator is running, testing, at fault, or do for maintenance. We will also receive these alerts so we stay on top of the status of your generator.
INSPECTIONS
After the installation is completed, there will be a plumbing inspection and an electrical inspection which we coordinate for you.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
Once your generator is installed, we add you to our automatic oil change service list, and will come once a year to do a thorough check of the system and change the oil.
